Our Ethical Compass: Integrity in every Interaction

At Lens For Men, our foundation is built on unwavering commitment to ethical practice and professional standards. We provide a safe, respectful, and accountable space for men across Australia to explore behaviour, identity, relationships, and personal responsibility. Our program is designed to support positive change through reflection, education, and facilitated group engagement, always upholding the highest ethical standards.

Our Guiding Intent

Our core intent is to support men in better understanding the impact of their behaviours on themselves, their partners, families, and the wider community. We actively encourage accountability, responsibility, and the development of respectful relationships, promoting emotional awareness, healthy communication, and sustainable behavioural change. It's important to remember that Lens For Men is a behaviour change and educational program, complementing — not replacing — clinical or therapeutic interventions. It is not a crisis service or a substitute for individual counselling, psychotherapy, or mental health treatment.

Professional & Ethical Standards

Trust is paramount. Lens For Men operates in strict alignment with the principles and expectations set out by Certified Practising Counsellor (CPC) ethical frameworks and, where applicable, Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and/or PACFA codes of ethics and practice. We also adhere to all relevant state and federal legislation, including professional duty of care obligations. All our facilitators act within their scope of practice, maintain appropriate professional boundaries, engage in reflective practice, supervision, and ongoing professional development, and respect participant autonomy, dignity, and lived experience.

Safety, Confidentiality & Cultural Respect

Your safety and privacy are our priority. Lens For Men is deeply committed to protecting participant privacy and confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Information shared within the program is treated with the utmost respect and discretion. We want to be transparent: confidentiality will only be limited where there is a legal or ethical obligation to disclose information, such as risk of serious harm, child protection concerns, mandatory reporting requirements, or court orders. We inform all participants of these limits prior to engagement. Furthermore, we provide an inclusive environment that respects diversity across culture, identity, beliefs, and lived experience. Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or abuse of any kind is never tolerated.

"Their commitment to ethical practice and creating a truly safe space made a real difference in my journey. I felt heard, respected, and empowered."
