Our Qualifications and Commitment to Growth
At Lens for Men, we are committed to ongoing professional development to ensure our program is informed by contemporary research, evidence-informed practice, and emerging approaches to behaviour change. We believe that maintaining current knowledge strengthens our ability to facilitate meaningful discussions, promote accountability, and support participants in developing healthier relationships and behaviours.
As part of this commitment, regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is undertaken across areas relevant to men's behaviour change, communication, trauma awareness, and participant engagement.
Our recent Professional Development includes training in:
- Couples Therapy: The Art of Cultivating Repair Through Intentional Communication
- Utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in Therapy with Victims and Offenders of Intimate Partner Violence
- Treating Trauma and Addiction with the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model
- Trauma and Addiction: Taking Motivational Interviewing to the Next Level
- Principles of Trauma-Informed Practice
- Psychological First Aid
The knowledge and insights gained through ongoing Continuing Professional Development are integrated into the facilitation of the Lens for Men program to support evidence-informed education, meaningful discussion, and behaviour change. While this professional learning enhances the quality of program delivery, Lens for Men remains a behaviour change and educational service and does not provide clinical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment. Our commitment to continuous learning reflects our dedication to maintaining high professional standards and delivering a safe, ethical, and contemporary program for participants and referring agencies.
